Tython - Visiting the Forefathers

While growing up, Terand had heard the story of how the Jedi Order was started on the planet of Tython. How it was formed from a group of philosophers, priests, and warriors who would discuss the Ashla. The formation of the Bogan caused a war between the two groups known as the Force Wars. Later the Ashla and Bogan was more commonly known as the light side of the force and the dark side of the force respectively. This was the tale Terand's father told him and his brother before bedtime many nights when he was a child. He thought the story was just a tale made up to excite the minds of kids about the heroics of the Jedi.It was until becoming a Jedi himself that Terand learned the story was true.

As the YT-1930 entered the atmosphere of the Deep Core planet, Terand's eyes focused on the windshield as he surveyed the landscape of the planet. The planet seemed to have been forgotten in time. Vegetation had grown over most of the structures that once stood tall. The sight made him wonder. How could such a planet be mention in a child's story and yet be forgotten and empty? Pushing the though aside, Terand scouted the land for anything remotely resembling a building. The sight of a formation grabbed his attention. No, more like it pulled his attention it's way. The force was telling him to check it out.

Clad in his usual attire of plain brown pants, a white, shirt, and a leather jacket, Terand exited the ship with his utility belt in hand. fastening the belt around his waist, Terand proceeded to tie down both his custom made Westar 34 blasts to his thighs.

Following behind Terand was Ashaiya, peering at the planet in amazement. She knew the planet was the original birth world for the Jedi, however the text she studied didn't have much beyond it's name and the fact that the Jedi first began there. The planet was beautiful in a way despite the fact that the structures that one stood tall were now being challenged by over-grown plants. She had made sure to bring her datapad with her as well, so she may record whatever she could learn here. Intending to at some point to basically rape the place with her Psychometry ability.

Currently wearing simple robes, basically consisting of a loose-fitted white cloth pants. As well a thigh long thin tan sleeveless karategi top that was held closed by a black sash. Wrapped around her feet are white bandages, and wrapped around her right forearm is white bandages once more. Equipped to her sash is her lightsaber, and diagonally over her torso a black strap that held her DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle. Her hair let loose down to her shoulder blades today.

"Seems like we're the first to be here for a while."

"So it would seem. Shall we explore?"

Taking another look around, Terand proceeded towards the large structure. Before he walked too far away, he pulled a small remote from his pocket and pressed a button while aiming it to the ship. The loading ramp closed and the turrets moved into firing position.Terand walked up to the structure and examine the large wall. After a while he found the entrance door and gave it a push with no success. Trying once more, he built of the power of the force within his arms and gave another push. The large doors squeaked open as he succeeded the second time.

Terand looked back to Ashaiya and motioned forward as he entered the building. The inside was dark and smelly. Pulling a flashlight from his belt, he saw statures in the room they were in. They depicted well distinguished creatures. Some appearing to be warriors, others as being more peaceful.

"Looks like we found an old Jedi Temple."

Following him into the temple after he had used the Force to assist him in opening up the large door. Not quite the best smell a structure ought to have, but then again this planet seemed to have been abandoned for quite a while. Lacking her own flashlight she simply followed his to get a better view at things. Tiring of that though, she decided to perhaps improvise by grabbing her lightsaber, first setting it on stun just in case, and then ignited it. So it would act as her own limited flashlight. Waving it around slowly to get a better look at the things near them. Noticing these creatures as well, along with the warriors.

"Apparently..."

Responding to his statement about the creatures, she then moved her lightsaber up to get a look at whatever was to her right.

"We should probably be cautious. Who knows what sort of creatures have made this their home since?"

"Agreed."

Terand went further in the temple. He checked each door as he passed the. Most seemed to be class rooms, labs, and even sparing rooms. The building help a lot of history for a person who knew where and how to read it.

"Have you tried your Psychometry yet?"?

She didn't respond as she stood in front of a door, her left palm pressed against it while using her Psychometry ability. Seeing a few images of a what appear to be very few Jedi studying, she also saw two students talk about the situation. How they were forced to retreat here after the Great War.

"This was definitely used by the Jedi at some point. Jedi retreated here from the Great War, after Coruscant was attacked by the Sith Empire. But I don't know if they built this temple, or if it was pre-built before they arrived."

Removing her hand she peered around with her lightsaber in hand once more, her mind playing tricks on her. Believing she heard something third-party created. Though it appeared to be nothing. Turning and following Terand once more.

"But I'll find out more once we find more...important areas of the temple."

"Lets see if we can find an office or library then."

Looking around, Terand spotted a flight of stairs. From the outside the building looked like it was three or four stories high. He advanced the first flight and began to check the rooms. After a few, he found a library. Inside the shelves were full of webs and the books covered in dust. Terand looked at the books on each shelf. Most were about the various philosophies the Jedi had studied during the time. Checking another section, he found a book logging the events of the Jedi. Terand removed the book and began reading.

"Seems they thought the Force was only limited to this planet at one time."

Dawn started, hearing pages turn behind her. Turning, she pulled out another book and peered through the gap to see a man standing there.

"Terand?!" she gasped. Seeing a familiar figure next to him she added, "Ashaiya?"

Realizing they couldn't see her, she stepped around the corner.

Using her lightsaber to wave in front of the books, she glanced at the titles and so on. However upon hearing a voice call out 'Terand' she quickly pointed her lightsaber in the direction of the voice. Though she didn't point it out at her in defense, but simply to see who it was. She was...surprised to say the least when she saw it was Dawn. How did she even get here? Most navigational charts to this world were most likely lost long ago. Despite that she was hardly a Jedi Padawan, so how exactly could she have heard of this world? Not saying it was impossible to learn about it other than from the Jedi or Sith. But still unlikely in her mind.

Turning away from her not bothering to speak, she remembered Dawn's attitude from the last time they spoke. Although she felt no malice, or ill thoughts towards her. She just didn't see herself getting along with Dawn.

"I'm going to go see what else I can pick up with my Psychometry here."

Walking deeper into the library, further away from the two. The only way they'd actually be able to see her clearly is by simply watching the glowing silver lightsaber blade.

Looking around to spot the voice, Terand raised a brow when he saw Dawn. He hadn't expected to find anyone on the planet, Let alone someone inside the temple. It all made no sense to him. There was no ship nearby when he landed and the planet was long forgotten.

"Why and how did you get here Dawn?"

He was curious and this was the only way to get answers. Terand nodded to Ashaiya as she walked off on her own.

A look of confusion crossed Dawn's face. "I don't know... I was aiming for Naboo... hoping to relax. Next thing I know I've punched the coordinates and arrived here..." she trailed off. "Why? This place is old, but filled with... something. Like a ripple of air from the past."

Laying her head on a shelf, she relaxed. Whispers reached her ears. "Like... someone was here..."

"If you used the Naboo coordinates and came here then your navigational computer is in severe need of repairs."

Terand turned and examined the room with his light before facing Dawn once more.

"This place has long been deserted. We're the first ones here since a long time."

As Terand and Dawn talked, Ashaiya had ventured further into the library. Eventually finding that there appeared to be a rather thin elevator that most likely lowered down to either another level of the library, or the storage room. Finding a small control panel it appeared there was yet another floor upstairs, but deciding she'd check the lower floor first. Hitting a button that would bring the elevator to her floor, she was taken by surprise when the small lift abruptly dropped past her and to the lower floor, crashing. Peering down she looked at what once was the elevator and sighed.

"Guess I'm going to do this the hard way."

Speaking under her breath she then looked to make sure nothing was waiting for her. Say some sort of hostile creature, or perhaps a lone piece of the elevator. Though while it was clear she found it odd that there seemed to be a light on the top floor. Deciding to check this out first she turned her lightsaber off, equipped it to her sash and began climbing into the tube-like structure that once held the platform that carried people down and up, and used it's tight space to her advantage. Making her way to the hole where one would wait in front of before stepping onto the platform, she then pushed herself through it. Successfully on the top floor. Curious as to what exactly was the source of the light she got up to her feet, and turned around to find a rather large hole in the wall.

"Huh..."

Looking around the room was much easier to see than the rest of the building, due to how much light was able to get in. The hole had to be about two meters wide and tall. Around her shelves of books, some on the floor and a table in the center of the room with a few datapads on it.

"Yeah," she muttered, still listening. Suddenly, her vision went blurry and a wave of dizziness hit her.

The clarity dulled again and she was once more standing in front of Terand.

Terand had turned away and continued to check out the library when when Dawn had experienced her little spell. He managed to find a couple of data pads about the Force and some of the known powers at the time and placed them in an inside jacket pocket before exiting the library. The other rooms he checked seemed to be either class rooms or sparing rooms.

Approaching the circular table she checked out the datapads, though they were broken. That didn't necessarily stop her though as she picked one up and used Psychometry. A wave of memories flashed through her mind, however one of particular was what appeared to be a Jedi recording information about a creature known as a...Terentatek. Not quite sure what it was from how the Jedi explained it. Though it was clear that this beast was something to watch out for if still somewhere on this planet. Putting it down she then noticed another small hole on the floor though further off to the left, approaching it she appeared down. Apparently it was another section of the library. Dropping down to check it out this room wasn't as clear as the previous one, so using her lightsaber as a light source once more she noticed a few datapads that didn't appear to be broken.

Looking through them she found what appeared to be descriptions of other martial arts, as well saber forms. Along with information of different types of lightsabers, and materials resistant to them as well usable in when creating a lightsaber. Also on the datapads was information on lightsaber crystals and such. Transferring all this data to her own datapad she then crushed the previous datapads, since they were no longer of use. Putting her lightsaber away she then found a door that she went through, only to find herself in a hallway. A door to her left closest nearby she decided to go through it as well, only to travel up a staircase and push open another door.

Greeted with a abrupt burst of light, she had found a way onto the roof of this temple. Climbing out she then peered out to the world around her.

"Beautiful world..."

Glancing around, she decided to follow Terand. Walking up next to him, she picked up a book from a desk.

'It's coming again..... that dizzy feeling....' she thought. Then the world went black around her.


Oh no... I forgot my journal! I need that!

Here it is. What's in here?

Dawns vision flickers and a blurry scene forms of two boys looking at a rather new book. The first one snatches it up and mutters:

Nothing...

He walks out into a young girl. She raises her hand and speaks in a low voice.

Hand it over. You know my secrets are in there, as well as yours.

Dawn lifts her head from the book and realizes the vision took only a second. She slowly closes the book but doesn't put it back, but places it on the desk. "I'm losing it..." she mutters.

After checking some more rooms, Terand decided to head up to the next floor. As he reached the end of the steps and stepped into the hallway, he noticed Ashaiya go through a door and up the steps. Figuring she had checked the floor, Terand went behind her and up the steps. Switching his flashlight off, he stepped outside on the roof and walked around.

"A place untouched by man for many years and solely under the control of nature."

Following she looks around. "Wow... this makes me realize civilization made many mistakes."

"Like how it was meant to be..."

Responding to Terand, though she didn't turn to look at him. But he'd most likely understand who she was talking to. Sighing as she then turned to face him.

"I wish my home planet Kiffu held such sights. Instead the planet for the most part is a rocky terrain of sand, rocks, and usually lightning powered storm clouds."

Turning back to look at the world before her once more she was able to sense Dawn's presence, however she would still not directly speak to her. She may have to eventually speak to the girl but she was in no hurry. Though then again she may not have to, since from her understanding she was further in her training than Dawn. So if she were to be Knighted first she could always leave. Though because of Terand she probably wouldn't...

Though quickly remembering the data she collected in one of the rooms she had checked earlier, she turned around.

"Oh, and I had found some datapads with information on Lightsaber Crystals, Parts, different types of Lightsabers, Lightsaber forms, and materials resistant to the lightsaber. Along with some other information. I transferred it over to my own datapad."

She's soooo forgiving. Well it's partially my fault though... Dawn thought, watching Ashaiya.

((How was Hallows Eve guys?))

"Indeed."

That was all he said in response to Ashaiya. Terand looked around the roof top and was pleased that it was suitable condition for the lessons. Walking towards Ashaiya, he removed the two data pads recovered from the library and handed them to her.

"Add these to what you have collected then. It seems to have some knowledge of the force and details of most known powers of the time. Study these and the lightsaber combat forms for now and call on me when you're done. Also, I'd like a copy of what you've collected when we get back to the ship if you don't mind."

Turning around, Terand headed for the opposite end of the roof and motioned for Dawn to follow.

"Tell me what you know of the Force."

"Well... the Force is the energy field created by all living things. It flows through everyone and everything. The Force shall last forever, and will surpass all time. People called Jedi have learned to use the Force to help others. They identified a light side and a dark side. Those seduced by the dark side are named Sith and banished. The light side bestows wisdom, peace, and knowledge. The dark side creates anger, hatred and fear. The Force controls every thing, we do not control it."

Dawn followed Terand .

"Of course Master."

Heading off to the far right of the roof with the datapads he handed her she first set her rifle down, along with her lightsaber. Sitting down she then took her datapad and once again transferred the data from the two datapads over to her own. Once done she deleted anything from the two datapads so that she may use them later on for something. Realizing now she probably shouldn't of crushed those other datapads. But oh well. She wanted to learn one of the lightsaber forms so that she could switch her style up and perhaps confuse an opponent. Going through her datapad she eventually found an ancient form called Shii-Cho, 'Way of the Sarlacc'. It seemed to be fairly simple so it'd be good to start with.

Continuing to read whatever information she had on it, she learned that the reason it was so simple because it was the very first form to be taught to Jedi at some point. Continuing to read it she soon began practicing it, although unfortunately with no one else due to the lack of Jedi, and her Master being busy with another apprentice. Regardless she'll figure something out. However realizing that this was in fact a Jedi Temple at some point, there was most likely practice droids somewhere. Calling out to her Master through Telepathy as to not disturb him, privately, and mentally speaking to him.

:: "Master, going to go find something to practice with in the Temple. I'll return shortly." ::

Placing the Datapad back on her sash, she grabbed her rifle also placing it over her back again and grabbed her lightsaber. Going back down the steps that lead to the roof she would go and find the training room in this Temple.

Glancing back, she watched Ashaiya leave. Sighing, she forced herself not to follow her.
