Space - To Balmorra!!

The ship was heading for Balmorra. It seemed this mission to find Lancer Onasi was turning into following a trail of bread crumbs. It was hard to tell how many planets they'd visit before finding out where the Jedi Master ended up.

Terand could be found back in his gym, as was usual on these long flights through space. He didn't know how others stayed fit without working out or continuous training but he was always working out when he had the chance to do so. His body was suspended in the air by his feet from a bar hanging from the ceiling. All he was were a pair of blue sweat pants so his body had no hindrance as he performed vertical sit ups. The product of his efforts were clearly shown with his toned body. If other Jedi used a Force power to keep fit then it was one Terand had no knowledge of.

Janella rolled over in her bed as conciousness returned to her, she rubbed her eyes and stretched her arms and legs. It had been a strange few days, yet why did she have the feeling it was gonna get stranger? She rolled out of the bed, got dressed and wondered out of her room in search of the others.

She checked the cockpit first but only HK was in there watching a Nuna-Ball game on the holonet. She checked he was ok and left him to it. A minute later she walked into the gym to find her Master working out, she blushed slightly as she approached but repressed it as best she could. She bowed to him before she spoke.

"Master.. are we close to Balmorra yet?"

Terand stopped and just hung there upside down as he heard Janella enter the gym. It was time for a breather anyway so it proved to be convenient timing on her behalf.

"It'll still be a while til we get there. Plenty of time to train some and clean up before landing."

With a final repetition, Terand grabbed the bar with one hand and released himself of the straps holding his feet. With a flip during the drop, he landed on his feet and rose up.

"Ok, let's get started then."

"very well."

Reaching out to the wall with his right hand, Terand used the force to pull one of his lightsabers into his hand.

"The lightsaber is one of the most important weapons a Jedi has. It takes time to master but is a powerful weapon. Today you will learn how to wield one."

With a flick of the force, the internal switch on his lightsaber switched on and a fiery blade shot out of the hilt with a hiss.

"Come and show me what you can do with it so far."

Janella used the force to pull her training saber off her belt and into her hand, she pressed the small button on the hilt and a bright yellow blade appeared. She had had some training with Cortosis weapons when she was learning S'tava so mimicking the technique she had learnt she placed both her hands on the weapon, spaced her feet slightly and held the blade from waist level pointing upwards at a 30 degree angle towards her Master. He obviously wanted her to attack first so she did, raising the blade slightly and to her left while shifting her body weight both forwards and turning to her left. She swung the blade towards his mid-riff with all her strength, it felt wrong to be swinging a lightsaber at a friend but she knew her Master was in no physical danger.

As the two trained Ashaiya was still in Terand's work room, at last finishing her phrik vambraces. She didn't bother to add any special or personal design to it, as they would be fitted underneath her clothing. Making them fit from the top of her wrist to right below her elbow so they only covered the forearm, this way it wouldn't be covering any of her joints and restrict her movement. Moving on to crafting the shin-guards that would also be made from phrik, she would make them so they would fit right above her ankle and reach right below her knee.

Terand 's grip on the hilt tightened as Janella went for her first move. With his blade at a 70 degree angle to his left, he turned to his left and leaned all his weight on his right foot while bracing his body so his blade would intercept the oncoming attack. The two blades would clash and spark out on contact. With his left hand quickly grabbing the hilt, Terand would attempt to throw back Janella's blade and hopefully her with it.

"Don't throw all your strength into a swing. Your weapon is lighter than a bladed weapon and requires less strength. A failed attack could put you off balance and in danger."

Their blades met with a load crack and Janella was knowcked backward, she regained her footing and leveled her blade. She took the hilt in her right hand and stepped forwards with her blade coming down diagonally at Master Ranus' left shoulder.

Using all his body weight, Terand's balance shifted onto his left foot as he used the force from his body to slam his lightsaber blade into Janella's. The result would possibly cause her blade to be thrown. Continuing through, the force of his black caused Terand's body to spin to his left rather quickly. To follow up with this spin, Terand's lightsaber came back down for a diagonal slash for Janella's left thigh. His body would stop from the spin as the two were face to face once more.

Janella felt the force guide her movement as she span clockwise, dropping the tip of her saber towards the floor near her Masters feet. Their blades met and produced another significantly louder crackling sound as she pushed her blade against his in an effort to push him backwards.

Because he was balanced on one foot when their blades clashed, it was easy for Janella to push Terand back. Stumbling back a few feet, he managed to catch his balance and remained standing as he smiled to his Padawan.

"You're learning fast."

Deciding to keep the spar going, Terand Rushed forward. He held his lightsaber in his right hand and allowed the blade to trail low behind him. Once he was in striking range, his saber would swing out and to his left across Janella's chest.

Janella smiled and raised her blade ready for another attack, she braced her left (back) foot as he began his forward movement and placed her lightsaber vertically to her left side to intercept the blow.

The blades clashed and Terand lept back and his saber shut off.

"Good. Now it's time to test your reflexes once more. Lightsabers have the ability to deflect blaster fire. With some practice you can even redirect it to a specific spot, such as back to your opponent."

Terand stepped off the mat and waved his hand towards 5 remote droids. The droids came online and floated into the air around Janella. As though working together, they swirled around her at a moderate speed while bouncing up, down, back and forth in random patterns. It was long until the blaster fire began. One fired at her chest while two took a shot for each leg. One played distraction and took a shot at her feet while the last two fired at her arm and back. Since the droids were set to stun, any bolt that hit would feel like a small electrical zap.

Janella de-activated her saber too and listened carefully to his words, once the droids had surrounded her she re-activated it and stood ready. Like before the force guided her movement as she span her lightsaber to deflect the first almost impossibly fast bolt, then she span and sweeped her lightsaber across the floor to intercept the next two at her legs. Janella sensed the intensions of the fourth shot and froze before twirling her lightsaber around again to deflect the fifth shot, followed by her turning 180 degrees and finishing the stylish lightsaber twirl by sending the last bolt into the ceiling.

The remotes continued their dance around Janella.

"Concentrate and redirect their fire back at them. Aim not where they are, but where they will be."

The remotes continued on with their movements. Some time of peace passes by before the first shot was made. One of the droids fired at the back of her legs followed by the second shot fired at her left arm. The third shot came from above as the remote to aim at Janella's chest. The last two shots came at the same time. One was made for her stomach while the other went towards her rear.

Janella closed her eyes, emptied her mind and lowered her lightsaber towards the floor. How much time went by was unknown to her, but when the first bolt came at her there was no heitation. She stepped to her right and made a 90 degree spin to her left while pressing the up side down blade down towards the ground, hilt first. The bolt hit the back of her blade and bounced back up behind her, catching the droid in mid-air stunning it. The second shot aimed at her arm was intercepted by a 45 degree turn to her left, she raised her blade up and to her left over her shoulder and sent the bolt back at the droid.
Sensing the last three attacks she sweeped the saber across her chest from left to right, then down and left in a slashing motion which led into a 180 spin to her left, ending in a strong defensive stance with her training saber pointing blade-down at the ground slightly in front of her, covering the right side of her body. This movement caught the last three shots dead on sending them all back at the firers, stunning them.

She exhaled slowly and opened her eyes again, but not letting up her defensive posture in the case of him surprising her with another wave of attacks.

The droids fell to the mat as their bolts hit them. Terand was impressed by how quickly Janella adapted to using the training saber. With a wave of his hand, the remotes lifted off the floor and floated back to their original place.

"You have done well. Do you feel comfortable using a lightsaber?"

Janella smiled when she realised she had successfully stunned all the droids.

Janella: "Yes Master."

As the two were talking, a voice came over the loud speaker.

"We will be reach Balmorra soon. I would suggest cleaning up and prepare for landing Terand."

"Alright computer. We'll continue our training later Janella."

Janella nodded and bowed slightly before replacing her lightsaber on her belt.

"Thank you for the training Master."

"It was nothing."

Terand turned around and walked off to his quarters to clean up and change.

Janella also returned to her quarters to prepare for the coming mission.

Terand stepped out of his room as the ship exited hyperspace. He was clad in his casual attire with his weapon belt slung over his shoulder. He made his way to the cockpit where he took the ship off auto pilot and went towards Balmorra.

The ship made it's landing on the factory planet. Terand walked down the loading ramp and looked around. He didn't have much information to go on. All Rylan told him was to check the planet.

A few hours ago she had completed her forearm guards and shin guards, though decided she would not wear them just yet. Instead still wearing the clothing she had orginally met Terand and Janella. Taking the time she had while on the ship she was training herself in one of the cargo holds, practicing the lightsaber forms Makashi. Practicing her control over the lightsaber and precision striking. Setting up her own targets to specifically hit and such. She would have better luck learning this style if she were to get Terand to help her, since this form was for the most part used against another lightsaber wielding opponent.

Though stopping her training she dis-ignited her silver beamed lightsaber as she felt the ship began steadily lowering and eventually came to a halt and landed. Equipping the lightsaber back to her belt she then made her way to the loading ramp where she walked down and met up with Terand.

"So any idea where we're going to start?"
