[Story Opener Pt 1] - Endara Mining Corporation Space Station, Orbiting Endara, Corellia

Janella took the datapad off the dock-master, checked it over once, varified it and handed it back. This was the biggest load she had had so far, and a juicy sixteen-hundred credits for her. She almost had enough to get her own ship, nothing big, but a decent freighter, and with enough left over for her to do a few modifications of her own. She nodded curtly to the dock-master, turned on her heel and walked out his office into the hanger. The Endara Droids had just finished loading the ship with the goods, she made her way into the transport vessel and headed to the cockpit. She sat down and began running through the safety procedures by checking all the systems were operational before tapping the blue screen to her left and opening the com-channel to the dock-master.

Janella: "All systems check, safety protocol complete. Ship B15, requesting clearance designation 6DU89V5S."

She waited only a moment before a voice came back to her.

Dock-Master: "Clearance granted."

She closed the channel and started the sub-light engines, these ships were old and took a few minutes to start up properly so she sat back and pulled a Cryo-pop out of a small cooler. She put her feet up and enjoyed the drink while watching the engine statistics on a screen above her head climb until it was suficient for her to take off.
She placed her feet back on the floor and threw the empty can over her shoulder, she wiped her mouth and started tapping instructions onto another screen. The lights turned to the same ambient blue colour as the various screens around her and the ship lifted off the ground, she quickly took the control-yoke into her hands and guided it slowly out the hanger door and into space. She waited until she was well clear of the station before turning the ship towards Corellia and locking the flight-controls, it was gonna be another 37 hours of solitude, she wondered if it was worth it as she kicked back and picked up another Cryo-pop.

Zanic was just now landing on Corellia. He had been assigned to talk to a man in Corellia who was going to be receiving some goods from the Endara Mining Corporation. The goods were to be sent to Dantooine, where the jedi Temple was. He was to escort the cargo safely to Dantooine. He had his lightsabers hidden in his brown jedi Robe. He was also to look for anyone strong enough in the force to be recruited as a jedi. Zanic sat back and meditated while waiting for the ship to arrive.

~Janella guided the Endara transport ship down through the atmosphere and towards the co-ordinates, she would drop off the cargo before going to the cantina and having a few drinks. Then it would be another 37 hour flight back to the Endara Mining Corp's Space Station for another payload. The ship touched down near the edge of the busy shipyard, inside Janella was tapping the screens around her, turning off the engines and putting it in its cooldown cycle. Once that was done she reached her arms back and stretched for a full ten seconds before standing up and walking into the main hold, her HK-51B droid was sitting at the table watching a live Sabacc game on the Holonet, some would think this was strange but she was used to it. ~

Janella: "I'm going to tell the dockmaster we've arrived, look after the ship while i'm gone."

HK-51B: "I looked at what was inside the cargo hold."

~Janella, who had made to walk out turned on her heel and put her hands on her hips.~

Janella: "You know your not supposed to do that, you could get us both in trouble, and by us both I mean me."

HK-51B: "It's crystals... mainly."

Janella: "Crystals? Well it's not our place to ask questions, look i'll be back soon, just look after the ship okay?"

~Janella walked off the ramp into the sunlight, it felt good to be off the ship, with fresh air. She took a deep breath and walked off across the shipyard...~

"So the ship is finally here?" Zanic asked.

Zanic was talking to the dock master.

"Yes, it has just arrived from Andara from a 37 hour flight." the dock master said.

Zanic suddenly felt a huge wave of the force. Someone at this place definetely had enough force to be a jedi.

"Here comes the person who is taking credit for this flight." the dock master said. "As soon as ahe gets here, we can negotiate about your crystals. I don't even know why jedi need them."

~Janella walked into the Dockmasters office and placed her datapad on his desk, he was typing away at his terminal.~

Janella: "Order 6DU89V5S, right on schedule."

DM: "Okay we're getting confirmation the order in being unloaded by our processing team, here are your credits."

~He handed her 1600 credits and instantly continued typing furiously. She opened on of the packets on her belt, rolled the wad of credits up and deposited them into the pocket.~

Janella: "So.. whats in the cargo containers."

~She said this rather non-schelontly (sp?) but he didn't bite.~

DM: "I'm sorry I can't tell you that."

~Janella bit her lip but there was nothing she could do.~

DM: "So what are you gonna do now?"

Janella: "I'm goin for a drink in the cantina and then i'm gonna go back for another load."

DM: "Your a machine Janella."

~She smirked, picked up her datapad and walked out of the office.~

"Thank you for not telling her what was in the cargo." Zanic stepped out of the shadows. "Now, I shall follow her, for I sensed a great surge of the force coming from her. I shall be back to pick up my crystals."

Zanic walked out of the office and saw the girl walking away towards the cantina. Zanic scanned the area. He noticed something moving on the rooftops. They jumped down at surrounded the girl. Zanic saw they were bounty hunters. Zanic activated his two green lightsabers and slaughtered all four bounty hunters.

~Janella was taken by surprise by the bounty hunters, the stranger had incompacitated them all before she pulled her blaster from its holster. She took a step away from the now imobile bounty hunters.~

Janella: "Who are you?"

"Allow me to explain. If you've noticed my lightsabers, I am a Jedi. I think I might have a destiny that you might want to have. When you walked by me, I felt you had a strong sense in the force. If you want to be a jedi, then you will come with me to Dantooine where the Jedi Temple is. There I will find you a master. If you have any questions, then come with me." Zanic said deactivating his lightsabers.

Janella was speechless, the idea intrigued her.

Janella: "You say I have the ability to use the force? Okay I will go with you."

Zanic was delighted. This would be his first Jedi recruitment. He started walking towards his ship. As they passed her ship, he said:

"Take anything you want with you, just go get it quickly. Zanic walked into his ship and started it. He waited for Janella to get in or tell him she was flying in her own ship.

~She went back to the ship and entered her qaters, she grabbed her backpack and stuffed her other clothes inside. Then she went to the hyperdrive room and grabbed her tool kit, finally she went and found HK who was in the cockpit.~

Janella: "Come on HK we're leaving, and grab your weapons."

HK: "Will there be fighting?"

~He said this almost like he wished there was.~

Janella: "No we're just not coming back."

HK: "Oh."

He sounded slightly disapointed but he followed her to Zanics ship anyway, they walked onboard and went to the cockpit where they found Zanic.

Janella: "Okay i'm here and i've got my things."

~She looked at HK and he issued a slightly strange rasp from his vocabulator that she assumed was a cough.~

Janella: "Oh... Zanic, this is HK-51B."

HK: "How do you do sir?"

~HK offered his bronzed metal hand to the Jedi.~

The YT-1930 ship landed nearby. This would be a good chance to gather supplies and collect any information about the Jedi. Exiting the ship was a man clad in civilian attire: basic pants, a shirt, boots, and a leather jacket. His weapons set him apart from the usual traveler. A utility welt rested on his waist and from the hip hung a modified blaster with a blade under the barrel and was tied down low for an easy quick draw. Not visible was the Jedi's katana hilted lightsabers, which was hidden within the inside pockets of his jacket.

Walking along the docking bay, he felt a tingle in the Force. Another Jedi was nearby with another presense with him. Figuring it was best to meet him, Terand sent them both a telepathic message through the force.

'Show yourself my fellow Jedi and friend so that we may talk. I mean you no harm.'

~Janella followed Zanich outside to Terand.~

Janella: "Are you a Jedi too?"

"Yes. I am Jedi Knight Terand Ranus. I'm in search of other Jedi to help rebuild the Order. Might I ask your names?"

Janella: "Hi i'm Janella Renshir and this is Zanic Scorchi. He offered to find me a Master, do you need a Padawan?"

"Pleased to meet you. I'm not really looking for a padawan learner but if it's a Master you seek then I can oblige."

Janella: "Thanks, I wont dissapoint you. HK, go get my things from the ship."

~He bowed slightly before turning and walking off towards Zanics ship~

"Thank you master Terand. I shall tell the temple you have taken on a padawan learner." Zanic bowed.

He hid his presence perfectly. There was no trace of him in the force, and the midi-chlorien that surrounded him seemed to be either invisible or nonexistent to any scene. He remained hidden in the shadows hidden until the perfect moment.

He had been watching this woman for a long time. She knew the ins and outs of the transportation of goods rather well and had experience. Not to mention the current load of goods she has most recently been in charge of. But of course the Jedi had arrived and began their meddling. The assassin was not pleased at all especially that one of the Jedi seemed to taking her as an apprentice. It seemed he would just have to take her now to make her his gift to the new dark lord before she began any training.

He walked from the shadows acting as though he was an old street beggar, hunched over and pretending to be crippled while putting his weight on his staff as he moved towards the Jedi and the girl. It seemed that one of the Jedi was leaving…how perfect. The former Sith assassin neared the girl and held out a slender hand covered in a black leather glove from beneath the heavy black cloak which hid most of his body from view. With his head bowed down he spoke in a raspy old voice that would match that of a poor old man that lived on the streets.

“Would you have a few spare credits for an old starving man?”

His hand shook a bit as he held it out. Though he was now in full view he kept his dark presence in the force hidden as not to alert the nearby Jedi of what he was.

Zanic was walking towards the ship until he noticed something. He turned to see an old hermit begging for change. He stood there silently. Something wasn't right here.

"I hope not Janella."

Terand turned to Zanic and gave a slight nod with his head.

"I have a request for you. I am in search of fellow Jedi and ask you to help spread a message to them."

Before Terand could go into detail about his request, he caught the sight of the seemingly beggar from the corner of his eye. Turning, Terand examined the man. The way he was positioned seemed like the beggar was trying to hide himself. His eyes then traveled to the man's staff. The metal walking staff looked a bit on the heavy side for a crippled beggar to be carrying around. His eyes stayed on the beggar so to watch for anything else out of place.

~Janella eyed him suspiciously, she had a bad feeling about him.~

Janella: "No sorry, I don't."

With a sad sounding sigh he shook he head muttering something under his breath as he moved away from the young woman and up to Terand. Then he asked again now sounding a bit more pleading.

"How about you sir? A few credits for an old starving man?"

He tightened his grip on his staff as he held out his left hand, but it seemed he did so only to support himself better.

As the beggar drew closer, Terand was able to get a closer look at him and the staff. His eyes traveled up the staff to notice the opening near the top. Looking back down to the beggar, he reached into his side jacket pocket and dropped a couple credits into the man's hand. If the man was up to something, Terand thought he'd humor him a bit and go along.

"That's all I have."

Zanic walked back up to the two and examined the beggar. The beggar gave the impression that he was old and homeless, but was he. He had a staff that he used as a walking stick. He felt a tiny flicker in the dark side. If this was a sith trying to hide the force inside him, he wasn't covering it fully. Zanic began moving his hands down to both his lightsaber slowly. He would be prepared for anything this beggar tried.
