Ziost - First Lessons

((Character in play: Darth Kaidon))

The ship arrived on Ziost. It had been a while since he was here and started his training. It would be here that he trained his new apprentice. Exiting his ship, Kaidon looked up at the old abandoned temple. Whatever happened to the priests was unknown, but this place would prove adequate for his needs.

"Let's go."

Stepping inside, they entered a spacious and empty room. The light from outside shined inside well enough so the need for torches was low. Tossing his cloak to the side, Kaidon faced Kel. Two lightsabers rested on his hips.

"First we'll see what you can do."

With that said, his right foot slid back and Kaidon now stood with his left side facing Kel. His left hand was held up to block any incoming attack while his right hand was pulled back and ready to attack.

"Attack me!"

Kel got off the ship and followed his master into the temple. When his master tore off his cloak, Kel tore off his own. It looked like to be a fist fight. Good, Kel needed to hit something for his anger. Kel unsheathed his claws and let out a bloodcurling shriek. Kel launched himself at his Master. He swung with his right claws at Kaidon's left shoulder.

Kaidon's mind focused as his apprentice charged forth. His gaze locked onto Kel's movements. His left hand instantly moved up so that his forearm would hit Kel's forearm and harmlessly push it away while with a slight change in his left arm's position he grabbed Kel by the wrist. With perfect timing, when the block had been, Kaidon's right arm shot forward at the same time he grabbing Kel's wrist with the side of Kel's elbow being the target. If Kaidon was successful, then the palm of his right hand would hit and push on Kel's elbow and thus putting the apprentice in an arm lock. The slightest pressure applied would cause pain in Kel's right shoulder and leave him at the mercy of Kaidon.

Kel twisted his wrist and slashed at his Master with his left hand getting him out of the armlock. He then bit down on Kaidon's right arm.

Kaidon's grip released from Kel when he twisted his wrist. He immediately stepped back from his apprentice in time to avoid the claw slash. It seemed Kel had some pent up anger to let out so Kaidon went on the defensive for now. As Kel went for his biting attack, Kaidon moved swiftly for the counter. His right hand pulled back so Kel would bite nothing but the air and then thrusted back forward to grab him by the jaw while his left hand grabbed the apprentice by the back of the head at the exact same time. The resulting effect would be a pushing against Kel's jaw and a pulling on the back of his head to turn his head to his left. If Kel's body didn't follow with the motion and roll to the floor as Kaidon attempted, his neck would break from the pressure of the movements and the position of his own body.

Kaidon grabbed the back of Kel's neck and the his maw. Pain shot through his neck. Kel rolled to the floor. He used the pulling technique on a lightsaber attached to the left side of Kaidon's belt with his right hand.

Kaidon had noticed the tug at his hip as the lightsaber was taken when he rolled his apprentice away. His eyes glared at Kel as a vicious smile formed from his lips.

"Getting angry now? Mad because I used your own attacks against you? If you think a lightsaber will be any better then lets have a go."

His fingers wrapped around the hilt of his second lightsaber and as it was pulled free, the crimson blade awoke from it's slumber with a hiss. He held the blade down by his side as he watched Kel.

Kel rushed at his master. He threw the lightsaber up and when it was right in front of him, he kicked out with his right foot and he kicked the end of the end of the hilt sending it hurling towards Kaidon with the blade facing Kaidon.

Kel was acting rather foolishly now. Just as the saber was thrown, Kaidon lifted his free hand towards the saber and used the force to spin and pull on the weapon so that the hilt would find it's way into his grasp. His eyes went back to Kel as he waited for his next move.

Kel ran towards the wall. When he approached it, He stuck his claws into and climbed that way to the ceiling. Kel climbed into the shadows of the ceiling. Waiting.


(This is where being an expert assasin comes in handy.)

Kaidon watched as Kel climbed up the wall and hid in the shadows. Although he couldn't see him with his his, he could still feel him with the Force. There was no way Kel could hide from him, but he could hide from Kel. Pointing his right hand towards Kel, Kaidon extended his middle, ring, and little fingers as he went to work on his apprentice's mind. Within the shadow, Kel would find two red eyes drawing closer and closer towards him as their speed increased as a shrieking laugh came from the eyes. No matter how Kel moved, the eyes would only circle around and come right back for him.

No matter where Kel went, the red eyes followed him. I'm trapped! Kel thought.


(Lol, I don't really know what to do now.

The red eyes split into four and surrounded Kel. Then Kaidon's voice came through to him.

"Shall we continue this game of tag or what?"

"Are you going to kill me master?" Kel asked out loud.

"Would it make a difference what I say?"

"May we practice the ways of the force master? Then have this battle?" Kel asked.

Kaidon's eyes narrowed as he stared down at Kel. He didn't like for an apprentice dictate the training. Using the force, the red eyes vanished and Kaidon used a force grip to grab Kel by the right leg and pulled him from where ever he was.

"Shall we remember that the Master will know when and what to teach ?"

"Yes we shall. Sorry to be disrespectful Master." Kel said frightened.

"Good. Now use the force to reach out and grasp your cloak. Allow the Force to become your servant to do your biding like so."

Switching off his lightsabers and placing them back at his hip, Kaidon aimed his hand towards his cloak and used the force to pull it into his hand.

Kel used the force on his cloak. It sailed towards him. It almost dropped halfway to him, but he managed to catch it before it fell. It went smoothly the rest of the way.

"Now reverse that technique. Use the force to focus some pressurized air toward your target."

Kaidon tossed his cloak into air. Before it could hit the ground, he launched his hand forward and released a force push into the cloth. The result was the cloth being pushed away.

Kel threw his cloak up and focused on the force. He closed his eyes and thrust his right hand forward. He opened his eyes and saw his cloak lying against the far wall. Maybe he was talented after all.

"The powers you have just learned are Force Pull and Push respectively. There moved are telekinetic moves that require you to be able to have your target in sight. Block your foe's line of sight and you disrupt their use of the technique. These moves also require the use of your hands to perform."

"Yes master." Kel said bowing his head.

Looking around, Kaidon spotted some fallen rocks and debris that had fallen off the walls of the old temple. With a flick of his wrist, three of the smaller rocks shot from their place on the floor and headed straight for Kel. One had take aim right for his head while another went towards his torso. The last rock was aimed for his right knee. If any of these rocks hit their target the the result would be a bruise at least with a chance of creating lacerations. This would test Kel's alertness or his surroundings as well what he could do with his newly obtained powers.
