OOC: This is a small story I'm putting together in order for me to get my NPC faction a little more organized and for the fun of it. I would certainly love if someone would join, but do wish that you do not alter the path too much in where I am going. I think it would be fun if you did in fact have an impact, but this has a purpose, and I don't want to go into a full scale war with another faction. -_-A Map of the Solaris Empire after it had been dividedRed - Symphonian Empire
Blue - The Solaris Empire
Green - The Zythentian Empire
The Solaris Empire has fallen into civil war. Once one of the most advanced faction in the galaxy, a civil war has brought a halt to scientific advancement, and many designs have been lost. Three factions fight for supremacy. The Symphonian Empire controlling the west, the Zythentian Empire controlling the east, and the Solaris Empire holding the heart of what was once a grand nation.
Lianna - Into the Fire
Men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die. - Herbert Hoover
Admiral Issac Satori woke to the crude awakening of a fist banging against his door, and the familiar voice of one of the officers from the bridge calling him.
“Admiral! Admiral! Admiral we have a a situation!”
Issac grumbled as he slid from his bed, quickly slipping into his navy blue inform, adorned with gold trim. He was a older man, who’s head had long parted with hair, and skin that had aged and wrinkled. But all the same, he moved with speed, stepping from his door to find one of the bridge officers waiting for him as expected. Issac simply blew by him, walking with haste down the long halls of the space station pn his way toward the bridge, the officer struggling to keep pace.
“What’s the situation?”
“Our deep space sensors have been triggered. it’s a fleet admiral… we believe its Symphonian.”
Issac did not reply as he stepped onto an elevator. In the silence, the young officer waited for a reply, or an order, and struggled to keep himself from asking all the questions he knew he shouldn’t. He felt awkward, but Issac paid no attention. It was only when the doors broke that the officer felt as though the tension had broken, and he moved to his duties at one of the computers.
“ETA?” Issac questioned.
“Twenty minutes sir” an officer replied.
“Strength?”
“We estimate around twenty heavy cruisers, probably star destroyers with full complement and escorts.”
The news was sobering, as the Solaris fleet boasted only 15 ships, only seven of which were matches for imperial star destroyers. Seven MC-90 cruisers, five liberator-class cruisers, and three majestic-class cruisers. It was however Lianna, which boasted the powerful space defense station known as the Astral Astoria. The station itself was considered to be able to repel entire fleets, though that was mostly propaganda, and attempts to keep the Symphonian navy away from Lianna. All the same, the space station and ground based defenses would be the key if Solaris forces were to hold their capital…
